  • Why Choose Agape

At Agape Children's Center "The heart of the child comes first". This is our mission statement and the decision maker in EVERYTHING we do. Many of our staff have been here for ten or more years and the joy of seeing our students come back year after year is a paycheck in itself. Come in for a tour and you will feel the difference when you walk in the door! God is here!

  • Curriculum

Creative Curriculum is comprehensive curriculum and it is structure to the interests of the children. The many years we have provided care has given us proven results that when  a "scope and sequence" approach is followed,  the end product is a child who is emotionally sound, cognitively prepared and welcomed into almost any kindergarten environment.

  • Nutritious Meals

At Agape we know how to feed children! Good nutrition is the spring board for a healthy body and a healthy body is able to grow, learn and play. We participate in the CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program). This funding gives us the ability to serve nutritious foods in house prepared in our Award Winning on site kitchen. Fresh fruits and vegetables are a bit more costly but we know it's an expense that pays off because it's vital for healthy children so, we gladly chose to invest in this. We also voluntarily participate in the We Thrive movement. Our kitchen staff are trained in health and safety and our kitchen has won the "Clean Kitchen Award" for 4 years in a row!

  • Early Childhood

    Infant Care

An infant can enroll when they are 6 weeks of age or older. We understand that this is a hard transition and we take great pride in the fact that you have chosen us to love your infant while you are away. As you consider infant care it is very important that you find caregivers who are good communicators. Our degreed staff are available daily to answer your questions, manage your concerns or to be a resource for you with the goals and objectives you have for your child. We have strong relationships with many professional agencies and we constantly get affirmation about the what a great environment our infants experience. Infants are screened using the "Ages and Stages" screener and assessed using the "Teaching Strategies Gold" system. We conference with parents to partner with you in accomplishing the goals and objectives you have as well as the child development and milestones that the Early Learning and Development Standards require.  "Parent's Choice" brand formula is provided free of charge with your tuition. When your infant is ready to eat solid foods we provide these as well. Our onsite laundry facility minimizes the laundry you do at home and allows us to keep your child and their belongings clean at all times.

    Toddler Care

We transition children based on readiness. A child had to be at least 18 months old to transition into our toddler program. If they are 18 months and showing developmental readiness for this age group a transition plan will be put into place in conjunction with the family to support the child through the process. The toddler environment is designed to allow the children to explore and have less restricted space than the infant room. This is a natural progression to development.  All lesson plans are created based on the interest of the child and is play-based. As you decide your child is ready to begin the potty training process we will support this process in the classroom.

Our preschool program is for children age 3 (and potty trained) through entry into Kindergarten. The Creative Curriculum encourages that all lesson plans be based on the interests of the children. Our teachers take the time to truly get to know your child and custom create lesson plans to inspire learning. On your tour you will see how inspiring our environment is and how learning can be fun! We work closely with the local school districts to make sure you child has the

    School Age Summer Camp

  • Summer Camp

Our summer camp dates for the 2017 calendar year are May 30- August 11. The rate for summer camp is 170.00 weekly and this includes breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks. We plan activities based on the interests of the students so we will schedule guests (in house field trips) as our students express interest. This is always included in your tuition. Call our office if you'd like an enrollment packet or stop by to pick on up. If you have not liked our Facebook page please do because there are several pictures of the fun we had last summer!

  • Employment

First and most importantly, you must have a love for children and the ability to treat them with respect. Since we believe all children are a gift from God, this is the primary way we translate this belief into action. At Agape, the heart of the child comes first. It's not just a tagline - it's what we do! If you do not have a positive disposition, the ability to guide and redirect with love and a consistent tone, please do not apply! Early childhood education can be a stressful occupation... so we believe you really do have to be "created" to be a responsive and effective caregiver and educator!

Click this link to access an employment application. (Save to your computer, fill out, and return by email) You may email Tracy Payne for more information or to have an application mailed to you.

Please note: As a faith-based ministry, staff members are church employees and must be able to translate our shared Christian beliefs into action.

  • Our Staff

We take pride in our diverse, Christian staff. Each of our employees is screened with an FBI and BCII fingerprints background check. A thorough medical exam and references are checked before the staff come on board. We have many staff with ten or more years of service with Agape and the reason is we are a family and we do everything as unto Christ. Because of Agape Children's Center Step Up to Quality rating we are able to offer our staff scholarships to continue their education in Early Childhood. If the staff choose the option of attaining and sustaining a CDA (Child Development Associate) there are scholarships for this as well. One visit to Agape Children's Center will confirm there is no other work environment like this anywhere!
